Alumni in IDF, Eilat Tiyul, Milk and Wine, College Meeting Aaron Wodinsky in the IDF By Yonatan
Kaplan
We are very proud of Eretz Hatzvi alumnus, Aaron Wodinsky
(’08 and ‘09), who has officially been sworn in as a
member of the IDF, after joining the Nachal Hareidi brigade in
November. A few of our alumni, back on their recharge trip, as well as
Rav Benny and Rav Yitz had the privilege of attending Aaron’s
Tekes, swearing in ceremony, which took place at Givat Hatachmoshet
(Ammunition Hill) in January. This was truly a once in a life time
experience for our talmid, to be able to be on hand as one of their
friends made a commitment to serve and protect Eretz Yisrael. After
they witnessed Aaron receive his...click to

Last Wednesday, Eretz HaTzvi took a trip to the Tnuvah dairy factory in Alon Tavor. Braving warm weather and sunny skies, the boys toured the extensive factory and learned a great deal about the cheese manufacturing process. They learned about Tnuva’s product lineup – milk, yogurt, pudding and cheeses – and sampled some of the products. One student was quoted as finding Tnuvah’s products “Good, but not as good as our school catering.” Still, the experience was an informative one. A nice relaxing trip to the beach is what we were promised when we left Yeshiva early one morning. We piled into the bus at 9:00 AM, and began the long drive down to Eilat. After a few hours the bus pulled onto a dirt road and we disembarked at our first destination of the trip, the sand dunes. We began a game of uphill ultimate frisbee, followed by a yeshiva wide session of Hitbodedute, where the entire school spread out around the desert and just sat in silence, either thinking or sleeping. Our next stop was Eilat. After unpacking at the hostel, we hit the town in Eilat. Nadav's Wedding By Shulamit Ebner

Berman
The Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus, the Orthodox Union's college, program had its first ever meeting with heads of yeshivot this year at Yeshivat Eretz HaTzvi. We were proud to be selected to host this important event.
Representatives of many yeshivot came to discuss with the leadership of the JLIC the issues affecting students on campus. Having been one of the pioneers of JLIC and presently serving on its advisory committee, I was excited to welcome this event. |
