Eilat Tiyul
Elan Regenbaum
A nice relaxing trip to the beach is what we were promised when we left Yeshiva early one morning. We piled into the bus at 9:00 AM, and began the long drive down to Eilat. After a few hours the bus pulled onto a dirt road and we disembarked at our first destination of the trip, the sand dunes. We began a game of uphill ultimate frisbee, followed by a yeshiva wide session of Hitbodedute, where the entire school spread out around the desert and just sat in silence, either thinking or sleeping. Our next stop was Eilat. After unpacking at the hostel, we hit the town in Eilat.
The next morning we embarked on a hike, and even though it was not as long as Yam L' Yam, we still a great time. Midway through the hike we arrived at the top of a mountain were we saw an awesome view of Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and the Red Sea.
The following day was the day we were all waiting for, the beach. A day of snorkeling, water sports, and Big Apple Pizza. Some of us enjoyed lounging on the beach while others held on for dear life to a banana boat or water tube.
As the day ended and we headed back to yeshiva we all sat pondering one thing, when will the yeshiva move to the beach.
