Aaron Wodinsky in the IDF
Yonatan Kaplan
We are very proud of Eretz Hatzvi alumnus, Aaron Wodinsky (’08 and ‘09), who has officially been sworn in as a member of the IDF, after joining the Nachal Hareidi brigade in November. A few of our alumni, back on their recharge trip, as well as Rav Benny and Rav Yitz had the privilege of attending Aaron’s Tekes, swearing in ceremony, which took place at Givat Hatachmoshet (Ammunition Hill) in January. This was truly a once in a life time experience for our talmid, to be able to be on hand as one of their friends made a commitment to serve and protect Eretz Yisrael. After they witnessed Aaron receive his Tanach and gun, the students had a chance to schmooze with Aaron for a little bit. What made this occasion even more special, was the fact that since Aaron is a chayal boded, lone soldier, and doesn’t have much family in Israel, it was a pleasant surprise to see Rav Benny, Rav Yitz, and some of his friends cheer him on at the Tekes. We are very proud of Aaron, as well as our other alumni who currently serve in the IDF, and wish them much hatzlacha and all the best.
